YOUTH & OUTREACH

Ronny Kowadlo
Quietly-spoken and particularly pleasant, yet dynamic and authoritative, Ronny, who has been Baal Koreh at MHC since 1998, is now the Outreach, PR and Youth Manager at the Shule. Ronny was originally educated at Yeshivah College, spent some time living in Israel, and worked in sales and marketing and as an operations manager at a safety company while previously working part-time at MHC in his clergical role.

Ronny has many interests, being also a keen sportsman as a competitive squash player, and is a Collingwood supporter! He has now come “on board” full time, to liaise with existing members and attract new ones. Ronny’s first function very soon after beginning his role early in 2008 was to organise the Synagogue’s first-ever first night Pesach Seder, a beautiful catered function held in the Shule’s upstairs Winton Hall. It was a resounding success, with many people now indicating a desire to attend next year. Other functions are in the pipeline and will be periodically found on this website (see “Special Events” under “Services and Events”, or “Latest News/ What’s On” on Home Page).

Ronny’s youth and friendly personality, combined with the charm of his young wife Natalie and children, make him an ideal person to relate to, and liaise with younger congregants and youth. At the same time, he remains a stalwart at Synagogue services where his lovely praying, together with that inevitable jar of lollies he is passing around to congregants at services, and his pleasant chats at the same time ensure that he always remains popular with those in attendance.
